Minutes from AGM, 7/7/10 13/07/2010
The AGM of Pompey Down Under was held on Wednesday, 7 July 2010 at Rosie O’Grady’s in Perth.
 
After some discussion, the following resolutions were passed:
 
  1. Peter Marchant’s continuing tenure as Chairman was passed unanimously.

  2. The Regional Coordinator roles are under review.

    Keith Emmens presented a discussion/position paper proposing that Pompey Down Under utilize the Meet Up facility to organize functions and social events. This will reduce the pressure on regional coordinators and allow members to suggest events in an open forum.

    It was agreed that:

    1. PDU would set up a page and subscribe; (DONE)

    2. Advise all current and lapsed members; (DONE)

    3. Retain local representation as follows –
                                                          i.      NSW – Chris Hunt
                                                      ii.      VIC – Peter Scott (includes SA and TAS)
                                                  iii.      WA – Chris Quinell
                                                      iv.      QLD – to advise

  1. There will be no increase in the cost of annual membership. Also, there will be no common renewal date. Current system of individual anniversaries will be retained.

  2. All ex-members will be contacted to encourage them to re-join; (DONE)

  3. All states will be encouraged to have regular monthly (informal) meet-ups. 

    WA has set the first Weds of each month, starting     11 August 2010. (N.B. It is further proposed that every other meet up will be held centrally at Rosie’s, with the others held either North of the River (Woodvale Tavern?) and South (Thornlie?).
