Hello or welcome back!

This is the new version of Pompey Down Under.net – the web portal for fans of Portsmouth Football Club across Australia.

We are a strange group - a passionate bunch of supporters of a historically unsuccessful football team from the south coast of England. Pompey (and we only ever say "Pompey") is a team who, up until one glorious day in May 2008, had been notoriously absent from the biggest stages of football for 69 years.

However, the true mark of a Pompey fan is that we moan, we sing, we gripe, we laugh, we accept the inevitable. We have rarely been very good and we love that.

If you want to support a big successful team, then we suggest you throw in your lot with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal.

If you want to have some fun, some lively banter, some knowing glances as a goal for the opposition looms ever closer – and a few beers watching a game, then come and join us over here!
